Specialized students-centred software which do exist such as Goodnotes and Notability are not as accessible as traditional note-taking tools. They often requires the use of expensive tablets and a stylus.
Moreover, there is a divide between hand-written note-takers, and those who prefer the convenience of typing. Notedaisy is initially adopting a type-written method in-order to efficiently adopt the technologies it is developing—while maintaining efficiency in learning.
Notedaisy strives to be an accessible platform for any device. It is a web-based application like Canva and Google Suite that is accessible for any people with any type of devices like a simple laptop—complete with AI tools, visual tools, templates, collaborative tools, and many others.
Further down the line, Notedaisy aims to eventually cater to hand-written note-takers with the vision of being able to seamlessly use both formats simultaneously to become to most flexible digital note-taking software out there.
When Notedaisy first started, we initially envisioned it to be an AI tool which automatically generates visual notes based on the resource you provide it with.
However, we realized that this goes against the essence of learning in the first place. Passionate students go to school, read books, and consume media as a way to enrich their minds with new knowledge, understanding, and wisdom.
As such, we pivoted from being an AI-done-for-you tool to an AI-assistant tool which eases digital note-taking. We also believe in the impact of visual learning and the capability of organizing information visually in making a better learning experience. AI and Visual Learning are the two pillars in which Notedaisy stands on to provide a unique value for learners looking to use the platform.
